About the assignment
Regarding my 3D digital environment, I have created a world that is entirely a part of my personal experience. It exists in the real world but has been processed through my dreams to become fantastic and unreal. But it is all based on my childhood experiences.
Every year, during the traditional Chinese festival "Qingming Festival", my father would take me home to pay tribute to my ancestors at their graves in my hometown. The graves of Chinese families usually exist in the same area, but my ancestors' graves are on a mountain. As we climbed up the mountain, one grave after another appeared. My grandmother and my grandmother's sisters are at the top of the hill." Qingming" is the rainy season, and the road to the mountain is bumpy. As a child, I was too scared of death to face my family's graves. But now that I'm older, I don't think that mountain is covered in fear.
This 3D environment restores the workings of the subconscious mind, and I gradually brought "romance" into this childhood dream, romanticising the no longer scary "ancestral graves".
